Rain will become more widespread throughout the day Tuesday, with the best chance for a few storms during the afternoon and evening. While no severe weather is expected, any storms that do develop would create downpours with locally heavy rain. Precipitation won't be steady through Thursday morning, but rather stick with us in an off & on fashion as the upper level wave slowly swings through to our south. Wednesday will be another gray day with periods of lighter showers. A few showers now look to linger even through early Thursday before we dry out later in the day. Rainfall totals across the 3 days still look to be in the range of about 0.5" to 1" for most, with the best chance of higher end amounts southwest of Kalamazoo.

A dominant ridge blocking pattern looks to develop this weekend, which will bring gradually warmer temperatures and plenty of sunshine. Highs as we begin October will top off around 80 degrees. For reference, our 30-year average highs for early October are in the upper 60s.
