KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Justin Tranquill is not only of the most talented players on the WMU football team, he's also one of the most outgoing and funniest players on the team.
The sophomore safety cracked up the room at last week's press conference, ending his stint at the podium by proudly stroking his new facial hair and saying "all great men wear moustaches."
Unfortunately, no one was laughing at this week's press conference.
Broncos Head Coach Tim Lester announced that Tranquill is done for the season after blowing out his knee on a first quarter punt return against Michigan State this past weekend.
That marks the third ACL injury of Tranquill's career--he also suffered a torn right ACL during his senior season of high school, before then coming to Western and blowing out his left ACL four games into his 2015 freshman season.
The Indiana native finished 2nd on the team last season with 89 tackles, and had 8 tackles in Western's season opening loss to USC.
