WMU Broncos Coach Tim Lester talks injury and CMU

The Western Michigan University Broncos are off this week, but Head Coach Tim Lester very graciously came by the Newschannel 3 studio on Thursday to talk with Sports Director Andy Pepper.

The interview was a two-for-one, a little bit about last week win over Eastern Michigan University and of course next week showdown with arch rival Central Michigan University.

Sophomore Quarterback Jon Wassink done for at least the rest of the regular season after breaking his collarbone against the Eagles. Coach Lester talked a little bit about the injury and his new starting quarterback Reece Goddard.

The Broncos are 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the MAC heading into next week’s Battle for The Cannon game and Lester talked a little bit about what this rivalry with CMU meant to him.

Last year’s blowout win over the Chips and Lester talked little bit about this year’s 4-4 CMU squad.
