Blake Griffin is the newest member of the Detroit Pistons and if that surprises you, just hop on twitter and search his name, you will see some interesting things.

The Pistons acquired Griffin in a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, meaning Stan Van Gundy is trying to win now.

Griffin coming to Detroit along with Brice Johnson and Willie Reed in exchange for Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic, and two draft picks, including this upcoming June's first round pick.

Griffin has spent his entire professional career with the Clippers, he's in his eighth season out of Oklahoma, was the number one pick back in 2010, and when healthy, is one of the premier power forwards in the NBA.

For his career, Griffin has averaged 21 points and 9 boards, but has battled injuries, and hasn't played more than 67 games in a season since 2014.

Pistons kind of had to make a move, after a 14-6 start, Detroit is just 8-20 since.

The Pistons host Cleveland on Tuesday night.
