Hall of Fame head coach Lou Holtz visited Miller Auditorium Monday night as the featured speaker at the Kalamazoo United in Purpose Event.
The legendary head coach is known for his time at Notre Dame, where he led the Irish to the 1988 National Championship. A tidbit that Holtz shared with the audience was that he played his last college football game in Kalamazoo.
Holtz was a linebacker for Kent State and an injury he sustained his junior season kept him off the field his senior year, so the final stop of his career was when the Golden Flashes were playing Western Michigan University Broncos.
Holtz will also be speaking at Hackett Catholic on Tuesday morning.
