WMU Broncos head coach Tim Lester talks EMU win, Bowling Green game.

Western Michigan University head coach Tim Lester stopped in to the Newschannel 3 studio to have a chat with Sports Director Andy Pepper about the homecoming game against Eastern Michigan University and the upcoming game against Bowling Green.

The Saturday game against EMU was hard-fought. The Eagles were very good defensively, and they probably didn’t give up many big plays.

Lester’s Toughest Team in America mantra. They didn't have their best stuff, but were able to win the game.

Quarterback Jon Wassink struggling early on Saturday, throwing for just 52 first-half yards and an interception, before then turning around and throwing for 183 second-half yards.

The MAC West defensive player of the week Ralph Holley with a career high 6 tackles, 2 sacks, and a huge forced fumble resulting in a second quarter touchdown.

The Broncos with four straight wins, a 4-2 arrival, 2-0 in the MAC and headed into the Saturday game at Bowling Green.

The Falcons are 1-5, although three of those losses came against Power Fives.

Bowling Green scored 36 points last week at Toledo, but on the flip side, they allowed 52 points.

Lester talked about the Falcons.
