Michigan State University basketball left the Great Lakes state capitol for the state of 10,000 lakes Wednesday.

The Spartans exited the Breslin Center just after 5:30 p.m. and departed with a huge fanfare from the marching band, spirit squad and a crowd of fans there to share their support of Tom Izzo's crew.

Michigan State arrived in the Twin Cities three days ahead of their semifinal match-up with Texas Tech at the NCAA tournament.

Before they tip-off all the remaining teams will have an open practice on Friday and they will go through another barrage of media interviews ahead of the biggest game of their lives.

The Spartans will tip-off against the Red Raiders at 8:49 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, and will be broadcast on Newschannel 3.
