The Russian Five documentary features an in depth look at the foreign players that helped lead the Red Wings to back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1997 and 1998.

TRAVERSE CITY -- The Traverse City Film Festival mixed in a little hockey as part of this year's event by showing the new Russian Five documentary on the big screen at Lars Hockstead Auditorium in Central Grade School.

After the documentary aired on Friday night a special Q&A session was held with director Joshua Riehl and former Detroit Red Wing Darren McCarty.

The Russian Five was critical in making the Red Wings one of the teams to beat in the late 90s. The movie will be screened at Lars Hockstead once more on Saturday at noon.
