The Michigan Wolverines a sterling 6-1 in their 7 national semifinal appearances, with that one loss coming in their first Final Four appearance in 1964.

Michigan played Loyola in 1964, beating the defending National Champion Ramblers by 4 points in the regional semifinals.

The two schools meeting again on Saturday night in San Antonio. Michigan getting their very first look at the 64,000 seat Alamodome during a Thursday afternoons closed 90-minute practice.

The Alamadome is an interesting multi-purpose arena. It can be set to play basketball, football, hockey, and even baseball.

A large venue that many players often struggle shooting in.

WWMT’s Mike McCann is in San Antonio for the Final Four.
