Spring has sprung and baseball is in full swing, but enough about that lets talk football, because the Detroit Lions released the 2019 schedule.

The season starts 4:25 p.m. Sun. Sept. 8, 2019, against the Arizona Cardinals. The game will be on Fox.

Perhaps the biggest of the games is the 80th Thanksgiving Day Classic game, which will be at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 28 against the Chicago Bears. Detroit has a 37-40-2 record on Thanksgiving Day, which includes four wins in the past six seasons.

The Lions hosted the Bears for the inaugural game of the Thanksgiving Day Classic on Nov. 29, 1934. The 2019 game will be the 18th time Detroit has hosted Chicago for the game. Green Bay Packers have been in 21 Thanksgiving Day Classic games.

The last regular season game in 2019 will be at Ford field against the Green Bay Packers.

The Lions’ bye week will be on Sun. Oct. 6.
