Western Michigan University Head Coach Tim Lester spared a few minutes for Newschannel 3’s Sports Director Andy Pepper to talk about the Toledo loss and the upcoming game against Ohio University.

The Broncos six game winning streak came to an end with a Thursday night loss to Toledo at Waldo Stadium. WMU not only losing an important conference matchup, but also losing quarterback Jon Wassink to what is most likely a season ending injury.

Lester discussed freshman quarterback Kaleb Eleby, who was 23-28 for 293 yards and two touchdowns, despite spending little to no time working with the first team offense last week.

WMU Broncos defense allowed over 500 yards of offense and 51 points to the Rockets.

The Broncos with yet another 7 p.m. Thursday game at Waldo against the 5-3 Ohio University Bobcats. The first matchup between the two schools since the 2016 MAC Championship game.

Lester discussed Broncos wide receiver Jayden "Bird" Reed with 103 yards and two more touchdowns now has eight on the season.
