Service dog participates in owner's wedding

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - She serves as a "bride's best friend" and her attendance at her owner's wedding did not go unnoticed.

Meet "Bella." She's Valerie Parrott's medical alert service dog.

Valerie suffers from panic disorders and migraines and Bella helps by alerting her minutes before something happens.

She's a huge part of Valerie's life, so naturally she was a huge part of the wedding day.

Bella was by Valerie's side all day, captured through a camera lens. The photos from the wedding have now gone viral, warming the hearts of millions around the world.

"The bigger story is that it's really giving Val a platform to talk about service dogs and that they're valuable life companions. Not things you can see and hear, but a slew of invisible diseases too," said Photographer Maddie Peschong.

"With Bella and because of our partnership, I have been able to live my life to the fullest that I normally wouldn't have been able to have done," said Valerie Parrott.

Since the photos went viral, Valerie has received a lot of positive feedback from the service animal community.

She even has her own blog detailing the life of a service dog team.
