KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3)- As part of the MLK Day of Service, the Kalamazoo Deacon's Conference partnered with volunteer Kalamazoo for a "Bi-Annual Treasure Sale."
On Monday, volunteers were sorting out donations that will eventually go on to be sold at low prices for folks in need in the Kalamazoo area.
Kenny Bizzell from the Kalamazoo Deacon's Conference says, "Over the years, people now look for our annual sales. They know the items we receive are nice items, so they look forward to coming to our sales knowing they'll get a deal on something they would spend more for at another resource shop."
All of the money from the sale goes to an assistance fund that helps people buy important everyday essentials.
