KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Two Michigan families are looking for clues that will hopefully lead to a couple missing since December 18.

23-year-old Patrick Antolovich, of Kalamazoo, and Sidney VanHulle, from the thumb area of Michigan, were traveling across the country when family last heard from them.

We're told they were heading to the west coast, before heading back, and ending up in Florida.

They were in contact with family and friends online, multiple times a day, but were last heard from in Texas, just east of Dallas, when they logged into a computer at a library.

"They just wanted to go meet people, explore. He was planning on buying and trading, living off the land, kind of thing," said Patrick's cousin, Sara Seelman. "He was basically hoping to live life and be free."

The family says they are concerned for the couple's safety, since their last known location was an area with a high crime rate.
