NORFOLK, Va. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A new business in Virginia is allowing customers to relax in the comfort of cats.
Friday, the Catnip Cat Café opened its doors in Norfolk.
Customers can grab a coffee, tea or snack and spend time with cats.
The cats are from local shelters and are available for adoption.
Owners say they will partner with local rescue organizations and shelters for the cats, and also for their expertise in making sure the cats are living happy, healthy lives at the café until they are adopted.
Earlier this year, we profiled a woman who told us about a Kickstarter to open a similar business in Kalamazoo.
The Kzoo Cat Cafe, on West Michigan, will be open to the public on Monday. Newschannel 3 will have a report Monday morning.
