BRADENTON, Fla. (CBS12) — A brewery in Bradenton is giving "Dry January" a run for its money by giving people who are participating a reason to quit.

Motorworks Brewing is partnering with Shelter Manatee and is featuring four different dogs from a shelter on each of its Adoptable Dog Cruiser Kölsch beer cans, according to the brewery's website. The proceeds from the 4-pack will benefit the building of a new facility for the shelter.

"There's hundreds of other dogs at the shelter that are looking for homes and that's really the point. It's not just to get those four dogs adopted, it's to raise awareness and raise funds in general," Barry Elwonger of Motorworks Brewing told CNN.

Elwonger says the response to the initiative has been overwhelming and the brewery received countless calls and messages about the program and has raised a lot of money for the shelter as well as awareness.
