In celebration of Earth Day, the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary offered free admission for all visitors.
On Monday, April 22, 2019, visitors can walk the sanctuary's lake loop trail, view birds such as the native Trumpeter Swan, and visit the pollinator garden for free during normal business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The bird sanctuary is located at 12685 E. C Avenue in Augusta, Michigan. Development and Community Relations Coordinator Sarah Carroll said the sanctuary is a part of the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station, which is one of Michigan State University's largest off-campus educational complex.
