Three 16-year-old face possible criminal charges following the investigation of a series of businesses burglaries, including one at the Home High School concession stand.
Calhoun County Sheriff's deputies reported Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, that they've been investigating a series of burglaries over the past several weeks. The Homer Department of Public Works Garage, the Recycling Center, an auto repair shop on Plain Street, several storage units in the village and a number of vehicles are among the places burglarized, in addition to the concession stand on South Hillside.
Investigators said that with community support, the investigation led to three juveniles who were questioned and detained Tuesday. Some of the stolen items were returned.
Information obtained during the investigation, including statements from the teens, has been sent to the Calhoun County Prosecutor's Office for a decision on charges.
