South Haven unveiled a new splash pad near South Beach on Thursday.

The attraction resembled a tall ship, the Friend's Good Will, a replica of an 1800s sailing schooner that is featured at the Michigan Maritime Museum.

Local elementary school students voted on the pad's theme in January 2019.

South Haven Community Foundation and Rotary Club of South Haven, as well as a grant from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, supported its creation.
