(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The American Red Cross is offering more opportunities for local folks to get disaster response training.
Last week, the Red Cross held a "Zero to Hero" event in Grand Rapids.
Over the course of a day, participants will learn the process of helping communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disaster.
You can also learn about how to assist people coming into shelters.
Classes are running until the end of October.
