KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra will be going to a galaxy far far away this week, by presenting their Star Wars: A New Hope live in concert series.
For two nights only, the Kalamazoo Symphony will play the score of the iconic movie live, while the film plays out on the big screen.
"It's a whole different model. It's a whole different way of appreciating concert and appreciating symphonic music with a movie," said KSO President and CEO Peter Gistelinck.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their best Star Wars attire for the shows Thursday and Friday, at Miller Auditorium.
Gistelinck says they'll do similar shows for E.T., Jaws, Jurrasic Park, and The Jungle Book.
There are still tickets available.
