A driver and passenger were trapped in a car after a collision Friday, Oct. 16, 2020.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers said in a written statement that the roof of the car had to be cut open to remove them safely.

Around 9 p.m. Friday, KDPS officers were sent to the intersection of Portage Road and Kilgore Road on a call about the crash.
When they arrived, they found that two cars had crashed and one vehicle had turned over onto its side.
According to the statement, traffic was shut down at the intersection and officers used hydraulic equipment to cut open the car's roof and remove the victims.

KDPS officers said only minor injuries were reported from the collision.
