A driver and passenger were trapped in a car after a collision Friday, Oct. 16, 2020.

Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers said in a written statement that the roof of the car had to be cut open to remove them safely.

Around 9 p.m. Friday, KDPS officers were sent to the intersection of Portage Road and Kilgore Road on a call about the crash.

When they arrived, they found that two cars had crashed and one vehicle had turned over onto its side.
