Kalamazoo police said they are looking for a person who left after hitting a pedestrian with their vehicle Monday night.

Witnesses told police a Black woman hit a 55-year-old at the intersection of West Vine Street and South Westnedge Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. June 29, 2020.

Witnesses said a woman got out of her white Dodge Caravan, went to where the person was laying and then got back in the vehicle and went east on Vine Street.

Police said when they arrived they found the person lying in the roadway unresponsive. The person was taken to Bronson Hospital and police said her/she was in fair condition.
