Michigan State Police arrested a Jackson resident Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, in connection to a Jan. 5 shooting in Albion.
The resident faces charges of assault with intent to commit murder and felony firearm, police said.

The investigation of the the shooting started after a witness found an unresponsive person laying on the shoulder of D Drive South.
The victim was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital for a gunshot wound. Police said the victim was expected to make a full recovery.
The arrested person was taken to the Jackson County Jail on unrelated drug charges.
