Indiana driver leads Michigan State Police on high speed chase (FILE)

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A woman suspected of using drugs led Michigan State Police on a chase in St. Joseph County.

Troopers tell us they tried pulling over the speeding vehicle on US-12 near Vistula Road around 11 p.m. Wednesday, but the driver refused to stop.

During the chase, police say the suspect rammed a patrol car and also hit a another vehicle; luckily no one was injured.

Police say speeds during the chase reached close to 90 miles per hour.

The chase continued into the village of Constantine before coming to an end on US-131 at Riverside Drive.

Troopers tell us the 26 year old driver--who is from Indiana--was arrested for several charges, including felony assault.
