GVSU police looking for suspect in weekend sexual assault

ALLENDALE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police are looking for a man they say sexually assaulted a woman on Grand Valley State University's Allendale campus.

GVSU Police say it happened sometime between 11:30 Saturday night and 12:30 Sunday morning outside the Frey and Hoobler freshman dorms on the north end of campus.

We're told a woman was walking by herself outside the dorms when a group of five to six men walked up to her.

That's when they say one of those men sexually assaulted the alleged victim.

Police say they're looking for a white man with a thin build, who's about 6'1" or 6'2", with wavy brown hair.

You should call police if you have any information.

GVSU Police also want to let students know they can call officers to walk them around campus if they ever feel unsafe.
