On Tuesday, representatives of the Calhoun County Public Health Department reported there were no positive or suspected cases of coronavirus in Calhoun County.

In a written statement, they said they received one report of the virus, which they later determined to be a false claim.

CCPHD representatives reminded the public that real updates on the virus would come directly from the department and/or the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. They said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would provide updates as well.

They encouraged anyone with information about the false claim to email the CCPHD at, or call 269-969-6341.
