A boil water advisory goes into effect Friday morning for part of Kalamazoo as crews get ready to start working to create a new water station.
The new station is the second of three that will be built in wake of PFAS contamination in Parchment and Cooper Township.
The boil water advisory begins at 9 a.m. and affects homes a portion of Park Avenue, Orient Street and Glendale Boulevard.
The advisory is just precautionary and is expected to be lifted within 72 hours.
The first water station along G Avenue is nearly complete and is expected to be operational on Monday.
