GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- The final performance of the 2019 National Cherry Festival has been announced.
On Monday, officials announced that comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham will be performing on the Pepsi Bay Side Music Stage on Saturday, July 6.
“We’re thrilled to confirm that Comedian Jeff Dunham will closeout our 93rd Festival," said Executive Director Kay Paye. "Comedian Jeff Dunham will present his “PASSIVELY AGGRESSIVE” performance with his delightfully twisted cohorts; Peanut, Walter, José Jalapeño, Bubba J, and of course, Achmed the Dead Terrorist."
With 10 million followers on Facebook and 1.8 million YouTube subscribers, Jeff has carved out his own unique space in the comedy world leading to record-breaking viewership with comedy specials on Comedy Central and NBC.
Dunham’s most recent stand-up special filmed in Ireland, “Relative Disaster,” features Dunham along with his ill-behaved and slightly demented posse of characters for a hilarious skewering of family and politics.
Tickets for Jeff Dunham go on sale Friday, February 15 at 9 a.m.
The National Cherry Festival scheduled for June 30 to July 6.
